چکیده
With a series of widespread applications, resistive gas sensors are considered to be promising candidates for detection, benefiting from their small size, ease-of-fabrication, low power consumption and outstanding maintenance properties. One-dimensional (1-D) nanomaterials, which have large specific surface areas, abundant exposed active sites high length-to-diameter ratios, enable fast charge transfers gas-sensitive reactions. They can also significantly enhance the sensitivity response speed sensors. The features sensing mechanism current potential advantages 1-D nanomaterials in firstly reviewed. This review systematically summarizes design optimization strategies high-performance sensors, including doping, heterostructures composites. Based on monitoring requirements various characteristic gases, available applications this type classified reviewed three categories environment, safety health. direction priorities future development laid out.

متن کاملGas Protection of Two-Dimensional Nanomaterials from High-Energy Impacts
Two-dimensional (2D) materials can be produced using ball milling with the help of liquid surfactants or solid exfoliation agents, as ball milling of bulk precursor materials usually produces nanosized particles because of high-energy impacts. Post-milling treatment is thus needed to purify the nanosheets. We show here that nanosheets of graphene, BN, and MoS2 can be produced by ball milling of...
متن کاملElectrical contacts to one- and two-dimensional nanomaterials.
Existing models of electrical contacts are often inapplicable at the nanoscale because there are significant differences between nanostructures and bulk materials arising from unique geometries and electrostatics. In this Review, we discuss the physics and materials science of electrical contacts to carbon nanotubes, semiconductor nanowires and graphene, and outline the main research and develo...
متن کاملApplication of a One-Dimensional Computer Model to Flood Routing in Narrow Rivers
This paper deals with the development of a computer model for flood routing in narrow rivers. Equations describing the propagation of a flood wave in a channel-flood plain system are presented and solved using an implicit finite difference scheme. Particular emphasis has been given to the treatment of the friction term in the governing equation of motion.
متن کاملOne-dimensional electrical contact to a two-dimensional material.
Heterostructures based on layering of two-dimensional (2D) materials such as graphene and hexagonal boron nitride represent a new class of electronic devices. Realizing this potential, however, depends critically on the ability to make high-quality electrical contact. Here, we report a contact geometry in which we metalize only the 1D edge of a 2D graphene layer. In addition to outperforming co...
